“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgement; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship”

ABOUT ME

Tracy Parent, MSW / RSW

Clinical Social Worker

With a Master’s degree in Social Work and over 18 years experience, I have had the opportunity to work with children and their families in both hospital and community settings.   I began my career in working with children who had developmental differences and acquired brain injuries and gradually moved towards general children’s mental health.  For the past 15 years I have specialized in working with children, adolescents, and emerging adults who have experienced interpersonal trauma, adolescents who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviour, and children who are exhibiting concerning sexual behaviour.  In addition to my clinical work, I have had the pleasure of providing clinical training to a variety of students and professionals, locally and provincially.

I am a life-long learner and I believe in attending regular training and remaining up to date on the latest research. Additionally, I am actively involved in peer consultation groups as I strive to provide the best possible treatment for
every client.
